Recently (again), I went to a 2nd hand CD shop and bought a 2005 Jay Chou (周杰伦) CD. The CD title is November Chopin

For Jay Chou, the new Chinese Pop heavenly king, and all his albums..

All of us are probably familiar with the cover art:

周杰伦 11月的萧邦

周杰伦 11月的萧邦

However, the one I bought looks like this:
周杰伦 11月的萧邦 PRC Cover

Comparing the 2 albums (I have both)… and I realized that the former one is for the Taiwan Market:
周杰伦 11月的萧邦 Taiwan Back Cover
Taiwan Back Details

While the one I bought in the 2nd hand shop is for the China (PRC) market:

All the songs are exactly the same. I wonder why do these music companies go all the trouble to issue different album art for the same album ? Makes life so un-necessarily complicated.

Or is variety better ?
